SHEFFIELD Tigers are out of the Knockout Cup after a disappointing 60-33 defeat at Edinburgh - 96-90 on aggregate.

Skipper Andre Compton top scored with a magnificent 17-point haul - including six-points as a tactical ride early in the meeting - but he received little support from his disappointing colleagues.

Both Ben Wilson and Ricky Ashworth came to grief at different times during the meeting as the Monarchs showed no mercy.

Now Tigers are out of both the cup and Premier Trophy, the league competition becomes even more significant.
