MATCH PREVIEW

Thursday May 10, 2007
SHEFFIELD Tigers aim to gain some revenge over Newcastle in Premier League action at Owlerton tonight (7.45pm).

They need to win by more than five points to claim the aggregate bonus point after the sides met at Brough Park last Sunday in a meeting Tigers could have won.

Sheffield will again be without James Birkinshaw who is still feeling the after-effects of a nasty spill at Berwick almost a fortnight ago.

Sheffield owner Neil Machin said: "The riders are hungry for the aggregate bonus point and we should fancy our chances of getting that as we only have to win by six-points and it would maintain a handy league position at this early stage of the season.

"But Newcastle have a top five who are all capable of getting some points around our track and I'm looking forward to seeing their new Dane, Jonas Raun, around Owlerton because he's been getting some rave reviews recently."

Once again the club would like to offer a reminder that all children under 12 will be admitted free of charge under this season's successful promotion campaign.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, James Birkinshaw R/R, Andre Compton, Ben Wilson, Joel Parsons, James Cockle, Paul Cooper.
NEWCASTLE: Christian Henry, Carl Wilkinson, Josef Franc, Ross Brady, Jonas Raun, Ashley Johnson, Sean Stoddart.
