GLASGOW v TIGERS - PREVIEW

Thursday May 09, 2019
SHEFFIELD have been boosted by the return of reserve Broc Nicol for their Knockout Cup tie against Glasgow.

Tigers head to Scotland on Friday (7.30) with the all-important decider at Owlerton this Sunday (May 12, 4pm).

And after missing the previous two team fixtures, Nicol is back after feeling improvement in his shoulder following a knock at Leicester almost three weeks ago.

It means Tigers are at full strength for their trip to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium and club No.1 Danny King is anticipating a keenly contested tie over the two legs.

“I think when you look at the two teams we’re both pretty solid all the way through,” King said.
“Having said that we’re going there to win and if we can’t pull that off for one reason or another then it’s the old cliché of keeping it as close as we can for our home leg on Sunday.
“We’re working well together as a team and it goes without saying that we’d like to go far in this competition.”

Glasgow have booked British Youth Champion Leon Flint to guest in place of Luke Chessell who stood down from his team place last weekend.

GLASGOW: Craig Cook, James Sarjeant, Rasmus Jensen, Paul Starke, Claus Vissing, Leon Flint, Kyle Bickley.
SHEFFIELD: Danny King, Kasper Andersen, Ty Proctor, Drew Kemp, Kyle Howarth, Broc Nicol, Zaine Kennedy.
