SUNDAY PREVIEW

Saturday June 08, 2019
SHEFFIELD aim to close the gap on Championship leaders Leicester at Owlerton on Sunday (Gates 4pm, start 5.30).

Tigers are unbeaten in their last four home fixtures but will need to step things up another level against the Lions who have already won in the Steel City this year.
Four of Tigers last five home clashes have gone down to the wire, and while No.1 Danny King is anticipating another close contest, he sees no reason why they can’t pull off another win.
“Things have been a bit too close for comfort in our last few meetings and ideally we’d start making life a bit easier for ourselves in the earlier stages,” King said.
“But Leicester have already shown how strong they are this year and we’re going to need all of the boys firing to beat them.”
There’s a home debut for recent recruit Josh MacDonald with in-form American Broc Nicol elevated into the main body.
Leicester are led by seven-times British Champion Scott Nicholls and include former Tiger Connor Mountain as well as guest Cameron Heeps who stands in for former Sheffield favourite Josh Bates.
There is reduced admission for Leicester Season Ticket Holders and gates open at 4pm.
SHEFFIELD: Danny King, Drew Kemp, Ty Proctor, Broc Nicol, Kyle Howarth, Zaine Kennedy, Josh MacDonald.
LEICESTER: Scott Nicholls, Ellis Perks, Cameron Heeps, Ryan Douglas, Richie Worrall, Jack Thomas, Connor Mountain.
