SHEFFIELD Speedway's two new signings Sam Martin and Lee Smethills will meet the fans for the first time at the club's launch to the new season on Thursday, March 6.
The club are staging their press and practice day at Owlerton from 3pm with a social gathering that same evening when a big turnout is expected in the Panorama Room.
All the riders and representatives from the management will be on hand to mix with supporters and will be available for photographs and autographs.
Skipper Andre Compton said: "I know the new lads are buzzing and just want to get the season started, they're dead keen to make their move to Sheffield a big success.
"I personally feel both Lee and Sam are good signings and I'm sure the fans are looking forward to seeing them in action.
"I know work has just started on the track for the new season and all the boys can't wait to get on it. We're looking to get practice elsewhere, but now Scunthorpe are in the same league as us I doubt whether we'll be welcome there!"
