Friday August 09, 2019
SHEFFIELD favourite Todd Kurtz can’t wait to get back to Owlerton when Edinburgh visit on Sunday (5.30).

The Australian, who won the league with the Tigers in 2017, re-signed for the club last week and is preparing for his first meeting back in the steel city.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Owlerton as a Sheffield rider and it’s going to be nice to see everyone again – hopefully I can score some decent points for the team,” Kurtz said.

“We’ve got a really busy month and we know how important every meeting is between now and the end of the season.”

Tigers currently sit just outside the play-off positions in fifth place and will be aiming to close the gap on Redcar with three more home league points.

Recent recruit Justin Sedgmen makes his home debut against the club he started the season with in an ironic twist.

The visitors are led by former Australian Champion Sam Masters and include former Sheffield man Ricky Wells as well as the in-form Ben Barker who guests for injured star Cameron Heeps.

It’s kids go free on a fun day out for all the family and gates open at 4pm.
