BIG WEEKEND AHEAD
Friday August 30, 2019
SHEFFIELD aim to close the gap on fourth placed Redcar when they travel to Eastbourne on Saturday (7.30).
Tigers sit just outside the Championship play-off places as things stand – but know points on the road will be crucial to their chances.
Team boss Simon Stead said: “Eastbourne is never an easy place to go to but they’re not unbeatable by any stretch of the imagination.
“We’ll be going there for the win and if we can make some good starts and get ourselves in front then we’ve got a chance.
“It’s going to need a big team effort though and fingers crossed the boys can come away with a good result.”
A reminder that Sheffield’s Owlerton Stadium proudly hosts the Championship Riders’ Individual this Sunday (gates 3.45, 5pm start).
The showpiece event sees 16 of the league’s best riders battle it out for the silverware with Tigers No.1 Danny King among the favourites.
EASTBOURNE: Edward Kennett, TBC, Kyle Newman, Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson, Jason Edwards, TBC.
SHEFFIELD: Danny King, Josh MacDonald, Justin Sedgmen, Todd Kurtz, Kyle Howarth, Zaine Kennedy, Broc Nicol
