SHEFFIELD are staging mid-week racing as they look to complete their fixtures before the play-off deadline.
Tigers face Newcastle in their final home league meeting of the season this Wednesday, September 11.
And club co-promoter Damien Bates is urging fans to turn out in force – especially those who have been unable to make Sunday racing this year.
“We’ve had feedback from some supporters who have said they can’t make a Sunday because of various commitments,” he said. “So this is an opportunity for those people to come along in mid-week to get behind the team.
“It’s been a tough season for various reasons and we would love to round off our home league programme with a win over Newcastle.
“It will be interesting to see what sort of turnout we get. It may be our last meeting of the season at home and it’s a long winter so I’d urge our fans to come along and get behind the lads.”
