LEGEND SEAN – BEST TIME OF CAREER

Monday June 29, 2020
SHEFFIELD Tigers club legend Sean Wilson has revealed how his second spell at the club were the best years of his career.

The York-born racer rejoined Tigers for the 1999 season after the club purchased his contract from former Bradford chief Allan Ham.

Wilson is the featured rider in Sheffield’s latest club magazine for supporters to collect during the lack of action this season.

And he said: “That second spell with Sheffield was the best time of my career.

Think back to that first year in ’99 – we were league Champions as a team, I won the Premier League Riders’ Championship and that proves what I say when I say we had some amazing times.

“The Sheffield fans were absolutely brilliant as well.

“They used to go everywhere, including the Isle of Wight, and we had such a great following.

“We appreciated it so much as riders and I know I certainly went to a big effort to always try and have a good relationship with the supporters.”
