TWO CHANGES FOR TIGERS

Thursday July 15, 2021
SHEFFIELD have been forced into two changes for tonight’s Premiership clash with King’s Lynn at Owlerton.

Jack Holder crashed heavily in Poland on Tuesday and is suffering from a bruised lung and pain in his arm, shoulder and back and he will be replaced by former Owlerton favourite Danny King.

And Josh Bates remains sidelined at reserve and the club have turned to Leicester youngster Dan Thompson, who has been scoring well at Championship level, as cover.

Co-promoter Damien Bates said: “We’ve been impressed by Dan’s performances so far this season so this is a good opportunity for him and we wish him well.

“Danny is a delight to deal with and we know he’ll give it everything for us just like he did when he rode for us two years ago.

“We’re hopeful Jack won’t be out for too long, but he’s in a lot of discomfort. Anyone who has seen footage of the crash will be able to see why.”

Meanwhile the club are asking for volunteers to stay behind after tonight’s meeting to help remove the airfence. It has to come down for a weekend stock car event and the track staaf need help to do this.

Fans are also reminded there will be no snack bar or drinks areas open – apart from the restaurant – so for tonight only they can bring their own food and drink.

Restaurant books must be made direct to 0114 234 3074.

SHEFFIELD: Troy Batchelor, Kyle Howarth, Adam Ellis, Josh Pickering, Danny King, James Wright, Dan Thompson.

KING’S LYNN: Thomas Jorgensen, Cameron Heeps R/R, Chris Harris, Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson, Connor Mountain, Ricky Wells.
