RACEDAY - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

SHEFFIELD boss Simon Stead admits his side are facing a crunch clash with Peterborough at Owlerton tonight (7.30).

And he’s urging fans to turn out in force with the cash option to pay on the gate now back and the freedom to stand or sit where you like in the stadium.

Tigers have been hit by the news that Jack Holder, their best rider so far this season, has been ruled out with bad bruising of the lung and shoulder after a crash in Poland last week.

Fellow Aussie ace Nick Morris will deputise and young Brit Kyle Bickley stand in for Josh Bates who remains on the sidelines at reserve.

Said Stead: “We’re up against it with the injuries, losing Jack for a second week makes it tough but we’re sure Nick will give it a right good go for us.

“Peterborough are a great side, we know it will be tough and we need all our fans to turn out in the sunshine and get behind the team. I’m sure Peterborough will be bringing a few.”

The club have been suffering with ticketing issues with the agency struggling to resolve an issue ordering from mobile devices on their website. Fans should arrive at the cash gate and use this option if the problem continues.

Some fans who ordered tickets yesterday still haven’t received their ticket and the club are suggesting they arrive with their reference number to be checked manually at the gate.

Tonight’s meeting is sponsored by Independent Forgings and Alloys who will be bringing guests with them.

Stead added: “We appreciate the support of our main team sponsors Tru Plant and tonight it’s great to welcome Independent Forgings and Alloys to the meeting and we hope we can give them a Sheffield win to celebrate.”

Fans are also reminded that former World Longtrack Champion and England World Cup winner Kelvin Tatum will be signing copies of his book between 6.30-7pm at the track shop.
