PREVIEW: PREMIERSHIP PAIRS, ROUND 4

Sunday July 17, 2022
SHEFFIELD aim to go one better when they head to Wolverhampton for Round Four of the Premiership Pairs on Monday (July 18, 8pm).

Consistency has been the theme of the competition for the Tru Plant Tigers to date with three straight runners-up finishes.

But with Ipswich winning the previous two events, it means they are now two points behind the Suffolk side in the overall standings.

Reigning British Champion Adam Ellis maintains his 100 per cent involvement in the tournament and as he was in Round Two will be joined by Tobiasz Musielak who has enjoyed some stellar performances at Monmore Green in recent visits.

Team boss Simon Stead said: “We’re so strong we can afford to juggle our pack and it’s nice to have that flexibility.

“Both Tobi and Adam have performed well there consistently and I also feel like it gives Jack (Holder) a bit of time off when he’s also heading for a busy spell.

“It goes without saying it would be nice to finally go one better.

“But we know it will be another difficult night, particularly with the hot weather, but hopefully Monday is the night we get on that top step.”
