SHEFFIELD’S Jack Holder was Australia’s star man as he helped them end their 20 year wait for world glory on Saturday.

The Tru Plant Tigers’ No.1 scored 19 points before winning the Semi-Final and Grand Final of the Speedway of Nations in Denmark.

Despite scoring the most points in the qualification rounds, outgoing Champions Great Britain were forced to settle for silver after conceding a 7-2 in the all-important decider to the Aussies.

Holder is back in action with Sheffield on Thursday (August 4, 7.30) as the Tru Plant Tigers host Wolverhampton at Owlerton.
