SHEFFIELD Tigers have been forced into a dramatic change of fixture at Owlerton this Thursday - and deadly rivals King's Lynn have come to the rescue.

The provisional Premier League clash with Berwick has had to be put back and the Stars have now agreed to bring forward their visit to tomorrow.

Said Tigers chief Neil Machin: "King's Lynn are the heroes in this. To have a blank fixture on a Thursday night so early in the season would be commercial suicide for us and we owe a massive vote of thanks to Keith Chapman and his King's Lynn boys.

"They are deadly rivals, and they always will be, but that's on the track and in this instance a bit of co-operation and common-sense has prevailed."
