HOLDER & CO RARING TO GO

Tuesday April 16, 2024
CHRIS Holder says he and his team-mates are counting down the minutes until they can race on Sheffield shale once again.

The Owlerton outfit have had three home fixtures postponed in the opening month of the season but are set to host King’s Lynn in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership this Thursday (April 18, 7.30 pm).

The Tru7 Group Tigers have managed four league points on their travels so far though, two of which came last time out when Holder was one of the Heat 15 heroes alongside brother Jack in the win at Leicester.

But now they’re hoping the weather will finally be on their side as they look to build on a decent start to the campaign back in the Steel City.

“Everyone’s chomping at the bit to get back there and get our first meeting run at home,” Holder said.

“We’ve been doing what we can on the road and we’ve been able to pick up a few points thankfully.

“So it might be a lot later than expected, but at least we’re going to be rolling up to Sheffield ready to go.”

Anyone still needing to renew their Season Tickets can do so at the track on Thursday by signing in at the Season Ticket Holders’ gate before being directed to the Speedway Office where payment will be taken.
