WINTER signing Anders Rowe says he can’t wait to get stuck into his new Sheffield home track.
The 22-year-old has joined the Tru7 Group Tigers after a positive season-and-a-half in British Speedway’s top-flight with King’s Lynn.
During that time, he demonstrated his liking for the Owlerton circuit on more than one occasion and is now looking forward to racing it on a more regular basis.
“The last couple of years have been awesome for me,” Rowe said.
“I came in half way through 2023 for King’s Lynn and went really well, I got my confidence up and they asked for me to be back for 2024.
“I had a lot of fun and I was learning from all the different riders.
“Last year I felt was my best season to date and obviously every year we want to improve.
“For 2025, I fancied a bit of a change to help me improve a little bit more as a rider by riding a different track each week.
“I wanted to move to a big, wide open track to benefit me more in the early stages of my career and Sheffield couldn’t have been a better answer to that.
“I’ve always loved coming to Sheffield, it’s just an awesome racetrack and one you can really get your teeth stuck into.”
More from Rowe can be read in ‘Speedway Star’ (Week Ending March 8). It is still available to purchase online now via: speedwaystar.net/store/magazines.
