ROWE ROARS BACK

SHEFFIELD have secured the services of Anders Rowe for a second successive season.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a fine first campaign with the Tigers where he added almost a point-and-a-half onto his starting average.

Despite spending the vast majority of the year in the No.2 racejacket, the talented young Brit was still a regular points contributor and claimed a number of scalps throughout the season.

And Tigers team boss Simon Stead says keeping Rowe on board was an easy decision.

“When Anders came to us last winter, there was a lot of excitement surrounding his signing,” Stead said.

“He hit the ground running pretty much from the off and for me, even though I thought he’d always grow as the season went on, he exceeded all expectations.

“He matured a hell of a lot last season, he certainly progressed as a rider and he impressed everyone at Sheffield.

“He made it clear very early on that he wanted to be back at Owlerton next year and even when things were uncertain, he remained loyal to the club.

“So once things were confirmed for next year, we finalised things with Anders and it’s going to be another big year for him in 2026.”

Rowe joins Jack Holder in the confirmed starting list with a third rider expected to be added in the coming days.
