FLINT MAKES IT THREE

Thursday January 01, 2026
LEON Flint is the third rider to agree a return to Sheffield for 2026.

The Young Brit joins Jack Holder and Anders Rowe as a confirmed starter for the Tigers as he looks to build on a hugely impressive maiden campaign at Owlerton.

Flint was named as Sheffield’s Rising Star last term and scored just shy of 200 points as he elevated himself into the main body of the team.

He’ll start next season on a reduced 5.05 average and team boss Simon Stead is backing him to continue a similar level of performances.

Said Stead: “When we picked him as our Rising Star last season, I said then I expected 2025 to be the year he really began to show his potential in the Premiership.

“His performances were exceptional overall and it was great to see him grow in confidence week-by-week and achieve some personal milestones.

“The next challenge for Leon is to make sure he kicks on and performs consistently away from the No.7 berth and if he applies himself exactly the way he did last year, then I believe he’ll be absolutely fine.”

The sport’s AGM will finally take place next week on Tuesday (January 6) where the rules and regulations for 2026 will be rubber-stamped.
