TEENAGE ACE JOSH IS STAR GUEST

Wednesday August 13, 2008
TEENAGE sensation Josh Grajczonek will race for Sheffield Tigers in their next two Premier League meetings.

The 18-year-old, who rides for Glasgow, will deputise as a guest replacement for Lee Smethills at home to Reading on Thursday and at Scunthorpe on Friday. Smethills is still recovering from back injuries.

Grajczonek scored a bumper 20-point haul for Glasgow against Sheffield on Sunday… a meeting the Yorkshire side won 46-44.

In that same meeting the Sheffield Window Centre-backed club lost the services of Ricky Ashworth with a broken wrist and the rider replacement facility will operate to cover his absence.

Sheffield owner Neil Machin said: “It was a terrific win for us up at Glasgow and we were particularly impressed by Josh. He was sensational.

“We’re pleased to have him on board for two meetings, both of which will prove to be tough.”
