INJURY-HIT Sheffield continued their good form with a 51-42 win over Reading Racers at Owlerton on Thursday night.
Both Ben Wilson and Joel Parsons, who have struggled for form in recent weeks, were magnificent in Tigers’ first meeting without the services of broken wrist victim Ricky Ashworth.
Both carded 14 points from their six rides each, with Parsons' hopes of a maximum being dashed in the final race when, along with Wilson, he was outstripped by Reading's top two of Ulrich Ostergaard and Mark Lemon.
Ostergaard was the visitors' top man with paid 17, including a titanic win over Tigers skipper Andre Compton in heat 12, one of three victories over the home skipper. His only defeat came against Parsons first time out.
