SHEFFIELD aim to continue their push for a top six finish when Scunthorpe visit Owlerton on Thursday (7.45pm).
The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side have won five of their last seven outings and only have three home meetings left before heading into the Jack Young Shield tournament.
Skipper Andre Compton is warning his team they can’t take anything for granted against a Scunthorpe side who include Owlerton track specialists.
He said: “Scunthorpe enjoy riding around Sheffield, particularly Richard Hall who we all know well here. Magnus Karlsson’s also a great rider around our place, he always seems to like riding here.
“We’ve got a good record against them this season, home and away, but we won’t be taking anything for granted, you can be sure of that.”
Scunthorpe include two former Tigers in Hall and Emiliano Sanchez – and in Ben Powell at reserve they have a rider who will test Kyle Hughes and Lee Smethills in the Sheffield reserve department.
SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth R/R, Joel Parsons, Andre Compton, Paul Cooper, Ben Wilson, Kyle Hughes, Lee Smethills. SCUNTHORPE: Richard Hall, Emiliano Sanchez, Magnus Karlsson, Viktor Bergstrom, Carl Wilkinson, Ben Powell, Byron Bekker.
