BRITISH SPEEDWAY AGM UPDATE

Sunday November 16, 2008
THE three-day BSPA AGM has now been completed - and chairman Pete Toogood has described the outcome as "very positive and exciting."

A full statement detailing all of the arrangements for the 2009 season will now follow on Monday morning.

Toogood said: "It's been an intense three days with plenty to discuss, but there have been a number of exciting developments.

"I apologise for the slight delay in issuing the full statement, but this is simply due to the amount of detail, and over Sunday evening we are putting together everything that has been agreed."

Toogood, who stays on as chairman, has confirmed that Chris Van Straaten (vice-chairman), Colin Pratt and Alex Harkess will remain alongside him on the sport's Management Committee, with Sheffield promoter Neil Machin making a return to those duties.
