SHEFFIELD are celebrating the news that they will feature in a live televised Premier League fixture next month.

The Tigers' away local derby clash with rivals Scunthorpe at the Eddie Wright Raceway has been brought forward to Tuesday, May 5, and will be screened live on Sky Sports.

Originally the Scorpions had been due to host Birmingham, but the change came about because the Brummies would have been unable to field a full-strength side.

Tigers co-promoter David Hoggart said: "We're thrilled and delighted with this news, and both Neil (Machin) and I jumped at the chance of accepting the fixture.

"It's a great chance to showcase the Premier League in front of a national audience, and I feel sure it will be an entertaining and eventful meeting."
