TIGERS HIT THE ROAD - AGAIN!

Friday May 15, 2009
HOMESICK Sheffield Tigers face yet another away meeting on Saturday night when they go to Berwick in a Premier Trophy clash (7pm).

It will represent the Sheffield Window Centre-backed team’s FIFTH successive away meeting – but Berwick have, thankfully, agreed to return to Owlerton for a re-arranged clash this coming Thursday!

Sheffield skipper Ricky Ashworth insists his side will give it their all – despite the fact that they are out of contention for a semi-final spot.

He said: "We're not bad around Berwick, we know the track pretty well and we're all itching to get back out there after the cancellation of Thursday's meeting.

"Ritchie Hawkins went there last month and won David Meldrum's farewell meeting so hopefully he can repeat that form and we can come away with a good result.”

BERWICK: William Lawson, Tero Aarnio, Paul Clews, Josef Franc, Michal Makovsky, Greg Blair, Gugliemo Franchetti.
SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Paul Cooper, Ritchie Hawkins, Joel Parsons, Richard Hall, Chris Mills, Josh Auty.
