RICKY MISSES OUT IN BRITISH FINAL

Wednesday May 20, 2009
SHEFFIELD skipper Ricky Ashworth finished down the field in the British Final at Poole on Wednesday evening.

Ashworth scored 5 points from his five qualifying rides but it wasn’t enough to claim a top six spot and a place in semi-final race-off.

The meeting was eventually won by Chris Harris when the Coventry skipper took the chequered flag ahead of Edward Kennett, Tai Woffinden and Lee Richardson in the Grand Final.

Kennett’s second place sees him pick up the Wild Card berth for next month’s British Grand Prix at Cardiff.
