TIGERS TRAVEL TO BIRMINGHAM

Saturday May 23, 2009
SHEFFIELD return to Premier League action with an interesting-looking trip to Birmingham on Sunday evening (6pm).

The Window Centre Tigers are looking for revenge from a dramatic finish to their last trip to Perry Barr in August, when they led by nine points with four heats to go, only to be overturned in the end.

Their confidence is high after Thursday's impressive home win over Berwick, and Tigers name an unchanged team for the match with rider-replacement operating for the injured Ritchie Hawkins.

Birmingham, meanwhile, hand debuts to Manuel Hauzinger and former Tiger James Cockle, and they too operate rider-replacement with Ludvig Lindgren absent on World Under-21 duty.

Skipper Ricky Ashworth said: "It’s been a good week for me and the team and I feel we can go to Birmingham and put on a good show. It would be nice to pick up at least a point away from home."

BIRMINGHAM: James Cockle, Manuel Hauzinger, Robert Ksiezak, Ludvig Lindgren r/r, Jason Lyons, Tomasz Piszcz, Richard Sweetman.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Josh Auty, Paul Cooper, Richard Hall, Ritchie Hawkins r/r, Chris Mills, Joel Parsons.
