SHEFFIELD V GLASGOW PREVIEW - THURSDAY

Wednesday August 19, 2009
SHEFFIELD Tigers are on a revenge mission when they welcome Glasgow to Owlerton on Premier League business on Thursday (7.45).

That’s because the Scottish side pulled off a 48-47 win when the sides met at Sheffield in April – one of the biggest shocks of the season.

And whilst it was an entertaining meeting full of drama, it was a result which proved costly for the Sheffield Window Centre-backed Tigers.

Tigers owner Neil Machin expects a tough night from the same men who did the damage in April.

He said: “They effectively put us out of the Premier Trophy competition with that result.

“Shane Parker, James Grieves, Mitchell Davey and Josh Grajczonek did the bulk of the scoring that night and could be the same threat this time.”

Scott Smith makes his first Owlerton appearance in Sheffield colours since 2002 after making his return to the side as cover for the injured Paul Cooper.

And Richard Hall is back after missing the weekend defeat at Berwick.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Chris Mills, Joel Parsons, Richard Hall, Josh Auty, Scott Smith, Hugh Skidmore.

GLASGOW: Shane Parker, Josh Grajczonek, William Lawson, Sandi Conda, James Grieves, Mitchell Davey, Lee Dicken.
