TIGERS V WORKINGTON, THURSDAY - PREVIEW

Wednesday August 26, 2009
SHEFFIELD Tigers face club legend Andre Compton and his Workington Comets in a vital Premier League clash at Owlerton on Thursday (7.45).

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side are looking to win all four of their remaining home league meetings in a bid to reach the top four and a play-off spot.

Workington are the Premier League Four Team Tournament champions after victory on their own track with Kevin Dolan, Adrian Rymel, Richard Lawson and former Tigers favourite Andre Compton forming a powerful spearhead.

But they will be without Phil Morris who suffered a dislocated shoulder at the weekend and also Richard Lawson. The Comets have called up Simon Lambert as a guest for Morris and will operate the rider replacement facility for Lawson.

Tigers, meanwhile, are unchanged from the side which beat Glasgow last Thursday in a thrilling Owlerton encounter.

Sheffield boss Eric Boocock said: “We were made to work hard by Glasgow last week and this will be no different. It promises to be a terrific meeting.”

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Chris Mills, Joel Parsons, Richard Hall, Josh Auty, Scott Smith, Hugh Skidmore.

WORKINGTON: Kevin Doolan, Simon Lambert, Adrian Rymel, Richard Lawson R/R, Andre Compton, Craig Cook, John Branney.
