SKIDMORE SIGNS FOR 2010

Thursday October 29, 2009
SHEFFIELD Tigers can confirm Hugh Skidmore as their first signing for the 2010 season.

The Australian, who will be 19 next month, quickly agreed terms with Tigers owner Neil Machin before jetting back to his home country for a winter break.

He was introduced to the Sheffield side in June as a replacement for the injured Ritchie Hawkins and went on to notch 119 points from 24 meetings - his Green Sheet average stands at 5.06.

Sheffield co-promoter David Hoggart said: "Hugh was certainly a bright spark in our season and we're delighted to have him back on board.

"He had been doing some second half racing and when the opportunity came to put him in the team he grabbed his chance with both hands."
