BIG RIVALS READY TO CLASH

Sunday April 08, 2007
SHEFFIELD Tigers are expecting a bumper crowd for a rare Bank Holiday Monday showdown with great rivals and reigning league champions King's Lynn at Owlerton (6pm).

The Sheffield Window Centre-backed side are looking for revenge after they suffered a humiliating 75-15 defeat at the hands of the Stars in Norfolk almost a fortnight ago.

Tigers are expected to be at full strength as James Cockle hasn't broken any bones despite a heavy crash at Birmingham on Friday.

Home skipper Andre Compton, back in the saddle after suffering pelvic injuries in a crash at Lynn, insists his side are fired-up for revenge.

Said Compton: "That night was a bad night for us at King's Lynn and our pride is hurting from it. We have to go out there tonight and show what we're all about, we need to show determination and character.

"I'm looking forward to it. We won't make life easy for them and we need to hit them hard early on, it should be a heck of a meeting."

Fans are reminded that they can also watch the live Sky meeting between Wolves and Belle Vue on the screens inside the stadium - and the restaurant is offering a three-course meal for just £12. All children agead 12 and under will be admitted FREE!

KING'S LYNN: Tomas Topinka, Chris Mills, Daniel Nermark, Trevor Harding, Paul Lee, James Brundle, John Oliver.
TIGERS: Ricky Ashworth, Joel Parsons, Andre Compton, James Cockle, Ben Wilson, James Birkinshaw, Paul Cooper.
