SHEFFIELD Tigers are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former club favourite Roman Matousek at the age of 55.

Roman, from the Czech Republic, was a real showman who thrilled the Owlerton fans over a four year spell in our colours.

He made well over 100 appearances for the club and scored over 1,000 points.

Sheffield Speedway would like to offer our sincere condolences to Roman’s family at this very sad time.
